Staffnests has been created by teachers to help Key Workers find accommodation across Ireland.
We believe teachers, nurses, doctors, gardaí, paramedics, pharmacists, CORU members and other key workers should live near the communities they serve. Creating a free profile allows you to view listings details and contact landlords and room renters.
Documents uploaded are only used to verify that you’re a Key Worker and are then deleted.
Student Key Workers are very welcome to join Staffnests to find student accommodation.
When registering, a dropdown menu shows a list of governing bodies. If your governing body is not listed or you’re not a member of a governing body, please select “other” or email info@staffnests.ie giving details of the properties/rooms you’re interested in along with details about who would be living in the accommodation.
Staffnests also includes a members’ noticeboard where Key Workers can say where they’re looking for accommodation or offer/request services such as tuition or home help.

Key Workers on Staffnests are verified. This means when you connect with landlords, they know you’re a registered Key Worker.

Whether you need short-term or long-term accommodation, full-week or weekday only, there are flexible options available to suit your schedule.

You’re not generally expected to rely on extras like meals, cleaning, or linen. It’s understood that you’re self-sufficient and can manage independently.

How it works
Create Profile
Select your governing body (Teaching Council, NMBI, etc), enter your reg number and name as listed, and upload proof of registration such as a staff ID, badge, e-card, or renewal email showing your name.
Profile Approved!
Once we verify your profile you can view full listing details and contact landlords! You can also post on the noticeboard! To avoid delays activating your profile, please ensure your profile details are accurate.
Arrange Viewings!
Use the Communications platform within Staffnests to contact listings and arrange viewings. Listings on Staffnests are from private individuals. Arrangements are between the Key Worker tenant and the property owner.
